Alaska River Lodge Location
Angler’s Alibi Fishing Lodge is on the remote Alagnak River, 23 miles North of King Salmon Alaska. We are just outside the Katmai National Park boundary. King Salmon is approximately 290 miles S/SW of Anchorage in the famous Bristol Bay area of Alaska.
As they say in business and real estate, location is everything. In Alaska, this holds true for fishing as well.
Angler’s Alibi may be the best example of what an Alaskan fishing experience is supposed to be. Due to our location, we have great fishing right off our shoreline, even off the dock! It is possible to land all 5 species of Pacific salmon without ever leaving camp. We also utilize 7 guide boats, 6 guides, and take only 12 guests per week. This makes our fishing program very easy to customize according to the guests’ wishes and expectations. We offer 9 hours of guided fishing every day, and if that is not enough, we will take guests out after dinner until our 10pm curfew. If this is too much time fishing and not enough time relaxing, no problem! We let the guests dictate how much time they want to fish.
We do not have to travel daily and spend hours flying around to find great fishing. This is why Angler’s Alibi is right in the center of the tidewater on the Alagnak River. This spot could not be better located on the Alagnak River to maximize our time fishing instead of traveling. We travel only a maximum of 10 minutes either up or downriver to get our guests into unbelievable salmon fishing. If a fly-out is the choice for the day, we are within a 30-45 minute float plane ride to most rivers we frequent.
This is Alaska the way it is supposed to be experienced: A small group of guests, comfortable tent cabins, fine food, and endless fishing right outside your door.
