In addition to great fishing being available through a quick boat ride from Angler’s Alibi Alaska Fishing Lodge, we also offer fly-out fishing trips to Katmai National Park and other streams in the Bristol Bay area. We do consider ourselves to be an Alaska fly out lodge since we offer this service, but we do not own our float planes, we charter with Branch River Air from King Salmon Alaska. The fly out fishing in this part of Alaska is legendary, and we fly to the best possible streams to capitalize on the best fly fishing Alaska has to offer every week we are open. By using Branch River Air, we are able to keep our costs down and pass on the savings to our guests – compare our updated rates. The fishing on the Alagnak River, where Angler’s Alibi is located, is amazing during the short time of the year we are open. So, fly out fishing is not necessary but having the option only adds to the overall experience we provide at Angler’s Alibi. If going to an Alaska fly out lodge is your preference, and having to fly out daily to get to your fishing waters is a must, then Angler’s Alibi would not be a good choice. If you wanted to do nothing other than target trophy Alaska rainbow trout, and be with a pilot guide and float plane all day long, then I would highly suggest No See Um Lodge…what I consider to be the best Alaska Fly Out Lodge in the business! BUT if you want daily fly fishing for Alaska salmon right out your door with a day or two spent targeting Alaska rainbow trout on the fly, then a trip to Angler’s Alibi would be a good choice. Review additional information on Anglers Alibi and then Contact Us with questions on what is best for your Alaskan fishing goals – we realize it’s often a ‘bucket list’ trip and want to help you make it the best!
