Tonight was our first night in Anchorage before our trip out to King Salmon on Saturday. I have to be quite honest in the fact that I was saving our best meal for Simon and Sea Forts, but was dealt a better hand “possibly” with a magnificent meal at the Glacier Brew House. I ordered pesto crusted halibut with a side of fresh spinach salad and vinaigrette marinated tomatoes over a dollop of garlic mashers. To say it was an amazing meal would not do it justice. Dining in Anchorage has its ups and downs, but it is hard to beat a meal at the Glacier Brew House. I was more than satisfied with a meal that will no doubt become a regular stop on our trip out to the lodge every spring. We look forward to getting Angler’s Alibi up and running for the season and adding several new items to the camp. The forecast is for high waters in Bristol Bay, and with that should come another great salmon fishing season on the Alagnak River and Bristol Bay area. Cheers, JP About the Author
